Chuck Vs. The Helicopter (aka ep.1.2) Playlist

First, let's talk about the minor casting change starting in episode 2.  The head of the National Intelligence Agency from the pilot, portrayed by Wendy Makkena, becomes General Diane Beckman, played by Bonita Friedericy.  While I once thought that only soap opera audiences could fall pray to such re-casting shennanigans, ever since those jokers over at The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air tried to pull the wool over my eyes with that glaringly obvious Aunt Viv switcheroo, I've come to expect the unexpected with television.  That's why I try not to get too attached.  Also, there's a moment where Chuck mentions Oceanic flight 815 in one of his flashes.  Bravo, writers, bravo.  What I'm really curious about is how those writers feel about the ending of LOST?

Well, anyway, to make what could be a very long story extremely short, here's the official listing of all of Chuck's music.  I have once again been beaten to the punch by the Internet.  I just can't win:

The Season One listing:

The Season Two Listing

The Season Three Listing

Here are the Youtube videos of the songs from this episode for your listening/viewing pleasure:

Iggy Pop – Lust for Life (You may recognize it from Trainspotting)

Spoon – Don’t Make Me a Target

Gnarls Barkley – Gone Daddy Gone (originally recorded by the Violent Femmes, whose version is here)

The New Pornographers – Challengers

I've got to go with The New Pornographers as my favorite song here.  Mostly because I'm a sap.  And now I retire to bed with the knowledge that I have to work even harder to strive for any sort of original content at all.  I'm beginning to think that perhaps my opinions are the only original thing I have to offer up right now.  I'll work on it, or I'll sleep on it, or something to that effect
