I know it's early..but that's always better than late..riiight?!
Hello to anyone who reads this...which is really probably only me, so heeeellloooo Marissa! As you can see from my headline, I do know that this is a little early, but I found out a whole bunch o'stuff last night..a cornucopia if I may be so bold, and thought that I would write some of it up now. So here goes...
But first a couple of things to get off my chest.
A. I just realized last night that I should apologize to most of my friends, for being the lamest person in the world, perhaps even in the galaxy, but since they decided that Pluto wasn't really a planet, I suppose there are fewer beings to compete with, so by that virtue alone I win lamest person in the galaxy hands down! Do you know what I did?! I put together a recipe book! Confirming for the 76th time, that I am indeed an 85 year old Grandmother of 9, cleverly disguised in the body of a 23-year old...Awesome! Now I think the recipe book tops the time I said "Sorry I can't hang out Lisa, I'm installing a microwave with my dad.." or the time I said, "No Lace, no coffee this morning, we're putting in the ice maker!" So to all of my friends, I'm sorry for being so lame and thanks for being brave enough to be seen with me in public..even if you do walk a couple of feet ahead of me.
B. In a similar theme to the first part, I do have to say that I impressed myself this evening. I made maybe the most delicious looking/tasting (I hope) pie that I have ever in my life tonight!"From your recipe book?" inquiring minds want to know...and the answer is yes! It's called the chocolate-mint cheesecake pie...I suppose it can be both a pie and a cheesecake...and I added some decoration myself in the form of mint creme oreos..there might be pictures up of it tomorrow...I'm pretty psyched to try it. Thinking back, I maybe should have tasted it before serving tomorrow..
Alright, I think that's about it, so here's the stuff I found out:
Classic Television Shows that can't be missed: Charlie Brown Christmas will be on ABC on November 28th at 8pm. Don't miss it!Also, I think that Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer will be on CBS on Nov. 30th at 8 pm. I think pretty soon there will be no separation of holidays by months, instead there will just be "NOCEM-ber" and it will be known as the month of "Thanks Christmas"...although some world religions might be angered about that, but I'm sure we can all work something out
Can you really go that long?! One might ask ABC Family Channel and the answer is a resounding YES!! Well at least they're promising 25 days of Christmas starting on Dec. 1st AND in marathon news...don't forget that A Christmas Story will be having its 24 hour marathon starting Christmas Eve. "Deck the harrs with boughs of horrie"...I can't wait( I apologize if I've offended)...On that note, here's a page/story you might be interested in..
You'll shoot your eye out
Holiday Questions: I don't know when It's A Wonderful Life is going to be on, but I would assume it's going to be on NBC at some point in December, so keep your eyes out for the time..I know it's sentimental, but I can't help it, I love George Bailey!
Rachel Wiesz is Awesome News: I believe that the much anticipated The Fountain opens this weekend. I'm not really sure how it's going to go up against everything, but I like it's odds. It looks beautiful, plus fans of Darren Aronofsky's (Pi and Requiem for a Dream) work should be intrigued!
Reality for REAL?! I actually can't believe that I'm going to really type these things, but yes, this is what television for the new millenium is coming to. One, NBC is looking for people who would like to audition to be part of a reality show in which the two finalists will play the roles of Danny Zuko and Sandy in a re-production of Grease.
Two, CBS, is looking for contestants to participate in their new reality show "Pirates"..I can only imagine what you have to do to win immunity, which I'm sure comes in the form of an eye patch or a parrot perhaps. So any of you looking to be "mateys" better increase your rum intake, you'll want to be drunk for this one, but I'm sure I'll watch at some point!
In case you think I'm lying, you can apply HERE! Or if Grease is the word, there's more information Here
Three...remember when people were like "Beauty and the Geek?! I can't believe this country"...oh how far we've come!
Finally, ending on a good note, it looks like it's going to be a good2007 for Colin Firth! According to imdb.com he has like 10 films coming out next year...so excited!!!
So I think that's it for a bit...oh wait!! I forgot, please, if you've gotten this far, answer this very serious question!
Q. If you could play Celebrity Amazing Race with anybody..who would it be?!
I'm torn between Dolph Lundgren (because he could probably do any physical challenge and he's kinda German I think, so if we travel in Europe I would have to be set for languages) and Stephen Hawking (he's a genius..and we'd get handicapped parking making it easier to get to the challenges). No seriously, I would take Mario Lopez, because at least then, he'd know what it was like to win something! I hope this doesn't make me a bad person, because as we all know, I can handle being lame, but bad is a totally different story.
